This presentation will address the different ASAM levels of care. We will discuss the increased substance misuse sparked by the pandemic and how treatment may look different than non-pandemic catalyst substance misuse. This will include Global Trauma impact on substance misuse vs Individualized trauma impact on substance misuse, and what we might extrapolate from the ACEs study. Fatina’s presentation will be followed by a panel of experts from our local recovery centers.

Fatina is a national speaker on Trauma, Substance Misuse, and Experiential Therapy. She guides the clinical team at NorthStar Transitions to deliver evidenced-based and somatosensory experiential learning approaches to addiction treatment. Fatina is passionate about empowering people struggling with substance use and addiction-based processes to integrate healthy skills and create a life in recovery. She holds Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor credentials as well as an EMDR certification. Fatina received her Master of Arts from Naropa University in Somatic Counseling Psychology.
