Exploring a world of Diversity and Cultural Competency in the workplace can be a challenge. We all want to provide our employees and our clients a safe, equitable, experience. In this presentation we will breakdown what Diversity is, the difference between Race and Ethnicity. We will explore how minority groups are formed and how to expand our own belief system to promote diversity. Access to care for substance use disorder and mental health treatment services will be explored and solutions presented.

Leticia Murphy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor working with individual, couples, teens, and families. Her primary focus is on relationship issues, parenting, depression, anxiety, addictions, and trauma. Leticia maintains a private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leticia is also licensed to practice in the State of Arizona and Colorado.

Leticia previously taught at the University of Phoenix, Las Vegas Campus as Adjunct Faculty. She has also conducted trainings when employed by the Henderson Police Department as a Corrections Officer and Asst. Corrections Center Administrator. She is a published author of two children’s book, that focus on helping children heal after the loss of a parent to suicide.

Dianna Sandoval is the Chief Clinical Officer of AspenRidge Recovery and has more than 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field, focusing on treatment for addiction, mental health, and trauma. She has designed, implemented, and managed multiple recovery programs in the state of Colorado and Maryland. In addition to developing clinical programs and providing direct clinical services, Dianna is also a leader in providing clinical supervision, team building, and establishing healthy organizational cultures in the behavioral health industry.
